The Hyundai Santa Fe 2021 will come in at least two versions: Standard and Premium, with different grille designs. More importantly, the Santa Fe information may be equipped with a hybrid engine.
The two newly revealed images completely coincide with the test car that the paparazzi had a few months ago.
The most obvious change is the split headlamps, with T-shaped LED daytime running lights. This will be the easiest feature to distinguish the new Santa Fe from the old car.
In addition, it can be seen that the grille is designed to be wider, creating a clear shape, making the nose of the car look more solid.
All-new undercarriage base, capable of mounting an electric motor
While the steering wheel will be the most defining feature to identify the new Sante Fe, it\’s not the most important change of this SUV. Hyundai says the Santa Fe 2021 will use its all-new 3rd generation platform, with lighter weight and more flexible construction.
According to South Korean automaker, the new Santa Fe will be the first Hyundai model in Europe and the first SUV model in the world of Hyundai to use this new structure. This is the structure that has been used for the latest Sonata – 2020 from last year.
This underfloor base paves the way for significant improvements in vehicle performance and safety. The use of this structure also allows Hyundai for the first time to install a traditional hybrid engine and hybrid electric charger for the new Santa Fe. Besides, there will still be traditional petrol engines.
Hyundai said it will reveal more information about this SUV in the coming weeks and in Europe, it will be available from September.
